Make an Appointment
There's a lot more to a doctor's appointment than just making a phone call or sending an email. Here are some tips to make your visit useful and successful.
- Be prepared
- Think about your visit in advance. List all the questions you want to ask. Take notes during your appointment. Bring your insurance card and other paperwork.
- Be assertive
- If you don't understand something…ask. Make sure that you are satisfied with our answers. Make sure you know what medications we are prescribing and why. Ask about medication side effects and possible alternatives. Discuss sensitive topics and answer personal questions.
- Be honest
- Tell us everything about your health including symptoms and problems, medications, vitamins and supplements you are taking.
- Be thorough
- If you forget to ask something that concerns you, or if you think of a new question after you leave, call us!
